On Monday, March 9, Spanish police officers conducted searches at several palaces in Mallorca, allegedly owned by the head of the Russian Helicopters holding company, Nikolai Kolesov. I mentioned El Pais edition with references to sources.
According to the publication, the investigation began at around 1:00 p.m. local time, when dozens of police officers arrived at two palaces in the municipality of Calvia, south of Mallorca.
The published police sources refused to provide further details. The investigation is being conducted by the General Information Commission, an intelligence service affiliated with the Spanish police.
In June 2025, the Anti-Corruption Foundation released an investigation stating that the Kolesov family and people associated with him owned five villas in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, a mansion in Yalta, real estate in Dubai, as well as two planes and a helicopter. According to investigators, three villas in Mallorca (each with an area of about 750 square meters) are registered in the name of Kolesov’s son, Alexei, who became their owner in 2024 at the age of four.
In 2007, Nikolai Kolesov was appointed governor of the Amur Region, but he resigned already in 2008. After that, he ended up in the recently created Rostec and headed the Radio Electronic Technology (KRET) company, which includes about 100 companies developing electronics for civil and military aviation. In 2021, he became president of Russian Helicopters.
The head of FBK International, Maria Pevchikh, reported in October 2025 that properties owned by Nikolai Kolesov were arrested in Spain in a money laundering case.
