“I said, ‘You could do a lot more good if you ended the war between Ukraine and Russia. That would be a lot more beneficial,'” Trump said.

The US President said: “There is tremendous hatred between President Putin and President Zelensky, and it seems that they do not agree. But I think it was a positive conversation about this topic.”
The Kremlin stated that a telephone conversation between Putin and Trump took place on March 9, lasting about an hour and taking place at the initiative of the US President.
