With Bagian’s victory, Russia, which has now won two golds and two bronzes, rose to eighth place in the medal standings. China tops the list (nine gold medals), followed by Austria (four medals), while the United States of America, Italy and Ukraine each won three gold medals.
For the first time since 2014, Russia is competing in the Paralympics under its own flag.
