Russian tourists, fearing the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, are urgently changing their holiday plans and losing significant amounts of money due to canceled bookings. Russian tourist Alexandra spoke about this on Saturday, March 14.

According to her, she and the company decided to cancel previously booked flights to Thailand and Bali, even though they lost more than 60 thousand rubles upon cancellation. After that, they issued new tickets and hotels that were already refundable. Alexandra noted that her friends who were on vacation in March lost larger amounts.

— We calculated that during our trip, with paid cancellation, we could lose an average of 100 thousand rubles. The girl explained in an interview with Twitter: “Therefore, we decided to rebook so that we do not end up in the same situation that many are now living in the Emirates and Thailand.” RIA Novosti.

On March 11, ATOR reported that more than 15 hotels in Dubai were included in the so-called blacklist for expelling Russian tourists and sharply increasing prices.

On March 10, representatives of the association reported that there were about 10,000 Russians in Thailand who were supposed to return to their homeland through airports in the Middle East.
