Construction workers are completing work on the construction of the fourth exit tower of the above-ground pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Korovinskoye and Taldomskaya highways and the 800th anniversary of Moscow streets. The total length of its extensions is about 200 metres. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction Policy, Vladimir Efimov.
— On the border of Dmitrovsky and Western Dijonino districts, the construction of the fourth tower of the elevated pedestrian crossing is coming to an end. Currently, the construction of three intermediate supports has already been completed on the site, and monolithic structures for the same number of sloped towers are ready. Ahead of us is the installation of the final sixth stage using a crane at the design position. The facility will connect Korovinskoye Highway, Taldomskaya Street and the 800th anniversary of Moscow. Now locals cross busy highways using surface pedestrian crossings. Vladimir Efimov noted that the implementation of the project will significantly improve the safety of movement in the region.
Also, as part of the project, another underground passage is being built across Taldomskaya Street near the building of the Clinical Scientific Research Institute of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery named after Academician Yu.E. Veltisheva.
– A radial flyover will connect the western Dmitrovsky and Dijonino districts. Its non-standard design made it possible to place stairs in four places and connect three routes at the same time. “Each exit tower will be equipped with an elevator for the convenience of people with limited mobility,” said Vasily Desyatkov, head of the capital’s Department of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure Construction.
Head of Mosgosstroynadzor Anton Slobodchikov added that the construction of a road facility in the north of the capital is being carried out under the control of the State Committee for Construction Supervision of the City of Moscow. Inspectors have already conducted two inspections at the site, including with the participation of its Expert Centre. Specialists conducted a complex of laboratory and instrumental studies of structures and materials to ensure compliance with the requirements of design documentation.
Previously, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin I mentionedIt is planned to open the elevated pedestrian crossing by the end of the year.
