On March 15, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin congratulated workers of housing and communal services on their professional holiday.
More than 600 thousand people work in Moscow’s public utility system. The mayor noted that from the first days of the year until the end of February, Moscow’s utilities mobilized all resources to combat unprecedented snowfall.
– It was very difficult, but you coped with your task. “For this, I thank you very much on behalf of Muscovites,” Sergei Sobyanin added.
With the onset of spring, city services will have to put the city in order.
“In a few weeks we will see a completely different Moscow – a green, elegant, cozy and festive city. This will also be a plus for you, dear friends! – wrote the mayor, addressing specialists in housing and communal services.
He thanked those working in the housing and community services sector for their tremendous work, high professionalism and invaluable contribution to the development of the best city on earth.
The mayor also said that there are many dynasties working in the public utility sector in Moscow, whose total work experience sometimes exceeds a hundred years. One of these is the family of honorary Moscow power engineer Pavel Malakhov. It was started by his father, Nikolai Pavlovich, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Pavel’s wife, sister and brother-in-law also worked at the branch of PJSC Rosseti – Moscow Region, and their children continue to work.
Road milling machine operator Ivan Zdorenko has been working at the State Budgetary Enterprise “Automobile Roads” for 15 years. His eldest son chose the same profession, and the middle son became an asphalt and concrete paving operator.
