General practitioner Suraj Kukadia has warned of potential pathogens in future pandemics and identified diseases that are of concern to medical professionals. The corresponding post appeared on the doctor’s social networks.
Kocadia explained that the next epidemic could be what is called “Disease X.” He explained that this term does not refer to a specific disease, but rather refers to any unknown pathogen that could theoretically lead to a global epidemic.
He explained: “We cannot say exactly what type of virus it is, but we must be prepared for any unexpected threat.”
According to the expert, new pathogens may emerge due to climate change, increased human-animal interaction, and increased urbanization. He added that the possibility of disease outbreaks is higher for airborne viruses that can be transmitted from animals to humans.
