The Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida reported on March 15 that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was undergoing treatment in Moscow.
According to the post, Mojtaba Khamenei was transferred to Moscow on a Russian military plane on March 12. He underwent successful surgery and is now receiving treatment at a private clinic linked to the Kremlin.
Mojtaba Khamenei was wounded at the beginning of the US-Israeli war with Iran on February 28. The health condition of the country’s new leader did not allow him to receive treatment in Iran.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov to reject Commenting on reports indicating Khamenei’s presence in Moscow. He added: “We do not comment on such reports.”
On March 12, Mojtaba Khamenei delivered his first speech to the Iranian people. Local media distributed the text of his statement. However, Khamenei has not spoken publicly. According to the newspaper, after that, doubts arose that the text of the appeal was written by Khamenei himself.
