The 15th All-Russian Week of High Technologies and Techno-Entrepreneurship was opened at the Atom Museum

The 15th anniversary All-Russian Week of High Technologies and Techno-Entrepreneurship was opened at the Atom Museum. The forum included 320 venues from 83 regions of the country.

The Atom Museum at VDNH is a place where history meets the future, which is why it is particularly important to inaugurate an educational event related to the latest technologies.

“It is very interesting that the week will be held for the fifteenth time,” emphasizes Stanislav Nesimov, Director of the Department of Educational Programs and Professional Qualifications of the Infrastructure and Educational Programs Fund of the Rusnano Group. “This means that it is important and necessary both for schoolchildren, for companies themselves and for our state. When it all just started, the task was as follows: we need to show young people that it is really cool to study science and technology. You discover something new, something unknown to you and the whole world. And this has its own motivation. When you create your own technology, you need to focus on what people really need.

Within the framework of the opening, a discussion was held with the participation of specialists from the technological environment on the topic “Should a school student study science?” Several different answers were given to this rhetorical question, and the main participants in the discussion were the students themselves.

“We came here as part of our IT curriculum,” says Maria Volchkova, an eighth-grader at Moscow School No. 1499. – It is interesting not only to listen to the lecture, but also to actively participate in it.

During the discussion a question was asked from the audience: What to do if a student is not at all interested in studying or thinking about work?

“Before changing your field of activity, it is worth thinking: what if you initially approached this issue incorrectly,” answers the head of the microbiology department of a private company Alisa Zaharkina. — There is no single profession, no single field of activity that would be truly uninteresting.

Everyone has different opinions.

So Elena Kazakova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy at Saint Petersburg State University, developed the idea further.

“Every work day or school day, there is always a moment to do just that,” she explains. – A type of discovery, deduction and calculations. It may take five minutes out of your entire day, but it’s worth all the work. That’s why you have to look for an area that suits you.

More than 600 educational organizations across Russia have joined the All-Russian Week of High Technologies and Technological Entrepreneurship, and more than half a million schoolchildren and teachers will participate in the events. About three thousand events will be held as part of the week in 440 locations across the country.

There are eight such sites in Moscow, where events dedicated to high technologies and technological entrepreneurship will be held every day.

For example, tomorrow at 14:00 there will be an excursion to the Russian Quantum Center “The Second Quantum Revolution: Touching the Future”, to which students in grades 10-11 are invited. Here children will learn how quantum computers work and why they are called the technology of the future. And at the Institute of Physics and Quantum Engineering on the same day at 16:00, schoolchildren will be told about the scientific heights that can be achieved with the help of quantum communications, which will ensure the highest level of security of information systems and optimization of various processes.

Direct speech

Dmitry Chesnokov, Candidate of Technical Sciences, General Director of the Research Institute of Technical Physics and Automation:

“We live in a dynamically developing world, and now it is especially important for young people to make the right decision, and the Week is designed to help our young people do this. I wish our young people great interest, so that all these classes are not forgotten, that you find answers to all your questions, or maybe just determine the scope of what exactly you want to learn. This year the Week will be held under the slogan “More knowledge and interesting tasks”, and I know that it will go like this.
