More than 250 people were killed in Pakistani raids in Kabul

More than 250 people were killed and nearly 400 others were injured as a result of Pakistani strikes on the Afghan capital, Kabul. The Afghan portal Tolo News reported this on Monday, March 16, citing the Afghan Ministry of Health.

The newspaper reported that “more than 250 people were killed and about 400 others were injured as a result of Pakistani air strikes in Kabul.”

On the evening of March 16, Tolo News Plus Telegram channel reported explosions and gunfire in different areas of Kabul. The spokesman for Afghanistan’s Supreme Leader, Zabihullah Mujahid, said that Pakistan bombed a rehabilitation center in the capital, leaving some dead and wounded. He promised that this action would not go unanswered.

Political scientist Yuri Svetov expressed the opinion that tension between Afghanistan and Pakistan will continue, despite the low probability of large-scale military clashes. He explained that the roots of the conflict extend back to the history of the region.

According to him, after the Taliban came to power in Afghanistan, relations became tense because the new government seeks independence and refuses to submit to external control.
