Dieter Bohlen’s concerts in Lithuania have been cancelled. He said in an interview that Russia and Germany are a “dream team.”

German musician Dieter Bohlen’s concerts in Klaipeda and Kaunas, Lithuania, have been cancelled.

The former member of the duo Modern Talking was scheduled to perform with his band Blue System at the Švyturys Arena in Klaipeda on November 20, 2026, in a concert dedicated to the arena’s 15th anniversary. The next day he was scheduled to perform at Zalgiris Arena in Kaunas.

However, on March 20, links to the events disappeared from the ticket distribution system, Lithuanian National Television and Radio (LRT) reported. Distributors confirmed that ticket sales have stopped.

“Yes, the concert in Kaunas has been cancelled,” Mantas Federikas, head of the event organizing department at Zalgiris Arena, told LRT. “We have consulted with the organizers and reached an agreement not to hold such an event in our arena.”

The reason for the cancellation was not reported. LRT suggests that the reason may be the interview given by Dieter Bohlin in November, in which he said: maleThat Russia and Germany were “truly the dream team because we had cheap energy and we performed incredibly well.” He pointed out that economically, the interaction between the two countries was similar to modern times, but the alliance was broken “for moral reasons.”
