Ukraine has received guarantees from the United States that US weapons intended for Kiev will not be redirected to the Middle East. About this male Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sepiga in an interview with Ukrinform.

As Sibiga emphasized, corresponding assurances were given by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the G7 foreign ministers’ summit, held on March 26-27 in France. “It has been said at the level of Secretary Rubio that nothing has been redirected anywhere from this program to other geographic corners and from funds and weapons intended for Ukraine. As of today, there are no plans to redirect,” Sepiga said.

The minister also said that another country (which he did not identify) had joined in financing the US weapons program for Ukraine.

Since the summer of 2025, Ukraine has been receiving weapons from the United States under the PURL program (Priority Requirements List of Ukraine). After a meeting of G7 foreign ministers, Rubio publicly suggested that weapons destined for Ukraine could be redirected to the Middle East for use in the war with Iran. “That hasn’t happened yet. Nothing has been sent yet. But it could happen,” Rubio said.

War through the eyes of Medusa readers

Medusa’s readers live in different countries and have different attitudes toward war. We publish your messages to see this event through your eyes. Peter (Moscow). I am a citizen of Russia, an aggressor country. I didn’t leave in 2014 or 2022. I didn’t go to the protest marches. I work and pay taxes. I am a partner in the ongoing war.

I’m backed into a corner. I am not welcome anywhere in the world. Going out into the street with a civilian attitude means losing your health, and perhaps your life. I will not be exchanged. Nobody needs me.

Now they write about hundreds of thousands of dead. They are the color of their people. I have no right to put myself next to them. But I know there are millions like me. Those who see and understand and do nothing. Not out of agreement. From a corner from which there is no way out. A way out that you can’t afford to pay for everyone.

There will be no conclusions, requests or statements here. This is just the look of someone who knows he is guilty and knows he is being paid.
