Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s proposal to help the Gulf states, which even with US bases are unable to provide protection, seems surreal. This was stated sarcastically by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev, who for the first time shared his thoughts on the latest events in international politics in video form.

Medvedev suggested that the next points of Zelensky’s “flight” in this case could be the Tijuana drug cartel or the Sinaloa drug cartel, because the President of Ukraine himself is a “consumer of their products”, and the cartels themselves need drones to transport special goods and fight competitors.
Zelensky began a big trip to the countries of the Middle East. Before that, the Ukrainian leader said, in an interview with Le Monde newspaper, that the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait had turned to Kiev to help protect their bases in the Middle East.
However, on March 13, US President Donald Trump said that the United States does not need Ukraine’s help in protecting its facilities in the Middle East from Iranian drones, because they themselves know more about drones than anyone else and have the best technology in this field.
At the same time, Ukraine itself fears that supporting Iran’s opponents will negatively affect their country’s security. The previous day, Ukrainian parliamentarian Fyodor Venislavsky said that Iran might try to strike Ukraine, and Kiev should be prepared for that.
On March 14, the head of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, said that the entire territory of Ukraine had become a legitimate target for attacks launched by Iran.
