“For example, for a year.” MTS and Beeline recommended that Russians top up their Apple ID balance from their mobile phone account in advance

Russian mobile operators MTS and Beeline recommended their customers to top up their Apple ID from their mobile phone account in advance for a long period of time.

The operators sent such notices on March 30 amid media reports that the ability to pay for Apple services from a mobile account may be blocked starting April 1.

“To maintain access to subscriptions, we recommend topping up your Apple ID, for example, for a year,” says the Beeline notice, cited by the Telegram channel “Caution, News”.

“We know that you pay for Apple services from your phone balance. We remind you that you also have the opportunity to pre-top up your Apple Wallet balance in the Apple Store application. We recommend doing this,” MTS told its customers (TASS posted a screenshot of the message on its Telegram channel).

MTS indicated that the maximum replenishment amount at one time is nine thousand rubles, and that the number of transactions is unlimited.
