US President Donald Trump published a blog post in which he addressed the Iranian leadership, demanding the opening of the corridor through the Strait of Hormuz, describing them as “crazy bastards.”
“Tuesday in Iran will be a power plant day and a bridge day at the same time. You’ve never seen anything like this!!! Open the damned strait.” (Originally – damned strait – note “jellyfish”)You crazy bastards, otherwise you’ll live in hell. You will see! – Trump wrote on the social network Truth Social.
He ended his post with the phrase: “Praise be to God.”
The previous day, the US President said that within two days “all hell will fall on Iran” if Tehran does not reach an agreement and open the Strait of Hormuz.
The Wall Street Journal reported that an attempt to broker a ceasefire between the United States and Iran through Pakistan failed. Representatives of Iran said that they do not intend to negotiate with the American side in Islamabad and consider the demands put forward by the United States to conclude a peace agreement unacceptable.
Before the start of the US-Israel war with Iran, up to a fifth of seaborne oil exports, as well as liquefied natural gas, passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
