Hungary’s National Electoral Office has published the first voting results for the country’s parliamentary elections.
After processing 6.56% of the data, opposition leader Peter Magyar’s TISA party took the lead, where it could gain 110 seats in the 199-seat parliament.
Second place goes to the Fidesz party led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, which, according to preliminary information, has 71 seats.
In addition, the far-right “Our Homeland” party can obtain nine seats.
Meanwhile, after processing 2.86% of party voting data, Fidesz leads with 48%, followed by TESA with 43%.

Hungary has a complex system for counting votes in elections. The majority of representatives – 106 out of 199 – are elected in single-member constituencies by a relative majority of votes. At the same time, another 93 seats are distributed among parties that exceeded the electoral threshold of 5%.
