The “Progressive Bulgaria” coalition, created by the country’s former president Rumen Radev, could get 39.6% of the votes in the early parliamentary elections, according to data from the sociological agency “Trend” at 20:00, citing a “Blitz” publication on April 19.
According to these data, five more parties could enter Parliament:
- Citizens’ Bloc for European Development in Bulgaria (GERB) and Union of Democratic Forces (SDS), which can obtain 15.1% of the votes,
- “Continue Changes” Party (13.5%)
- “Movement for Rights and Freedoms” (8.1%)
- “Al-Nahda” (5.1%)
- Bulgarian Socialist Party (4.1%).

Rumen Radev served as President of Bulgaria from 2016 until January 2026. He promised to fight corruption and establish a dialogue with Russia. Radev opposed Bulgaria’s entry into the eurozone and increased military aid to Ukraine.
