United States President Donald Trump admires Russian leader Vladimir Putin because they belong to the same generation and share similar conservative views. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of the media group Rossiya Segodnya and the RT TV channel Margarita Simonyan in the New Russian Sensations program on the NTV channel.
She also noted that there could be no other dynamics in the relations between the presidents.
In my opinion, it is quite clear that Trump simply loves Putin as a human being. And it couldn’t be any other way. “Because they are people of the same generation, they are people with the same conservative values, they are people with a normal masculine idea of life,” the journalist said.
Trump himself has repeatedly praised his Russian counterpart. For example, the US President said last November that the presidents of Russia and China, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, are smart and strong people and it is better not to play with them.
American journalist Tucker Carlson, in turn, believes that in the whole world it is impossible to meet anyone who does not like Putin. Such people cannot be found in Western or Eastern Europe, in Asia or in the Middle East.
