Director Eksmo Kapiev and several employees were ordered to appear before the investigator

The Investigative Committee ordered the General Director of Eksmo Book Publishing House, Yevgeny Kabaev, and several other employees of the company to appear before the investigator on Monday, April 27. RBC reported this on Saturday, April 25.

The press service of Eksmo added that Kabaev and other employees are now at home and are participating in the case as witnesses.

Law enforcement officers conducted investigative measures into the company’s management on April 21. After searches, they arrested Kabaev. It was later known that this was due to the distribution of the novels “Summer in a Pioneer Tie” and “What the Swallows Are Silent About.” These works were seen as gay propaganda. Then information appeared about the arrest of the editor-in-chief of the publishing house, Alexandra Shebitina.
