The decision was appealed to a higher court. “Today, following the results of the appeal hearing, the Sverdlovsk Regional Court found that it is possible to reduce the duration of the administrative penalty to four days,” the statement read. message.

On May 2, Basler ordered legal assistance to a man arrested after the incident in Yekaterinburg. According to him, the situation arose due to the human factor: a resident of the Orenburg region, without observing enhanced security measures, tried to communicate emotionally and attract the attention of security, after which he was arrested.

Earlier, an armed man “tried to penetrate” a security checkpoint at the Washington Hilton Hotel, where US President Donald Trump, members of his administration, and journalists reside, but the Secret Service stopped the attacker.
