Two tourists got lost in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia

Rescuers are searching for two tourists who disappeared in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia. This was reported on Tuesday, May 5 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

According to preliminary data, the day before the girls were supposed to complete the tourist route in the Zelenchuksky district, but they did not call and could not get to the nearest settlement on their own.

The family reported the missing person to emergency services. He explained that the road was officially registered with the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which made it possible to quickly begin a search and rescue operation.

– 15 rescuers were sent to search. The community’s Ministry of Emergency Situations wrote that they were searching two areas mentioned in the tourist registration card VK.

On April 24, Buryatia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that an avalanche covered four climbers in the republic. Later, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the group of tourists caught in the avalanche consisted of seven people. Three hikers were away from the avalanche but were injured. They managed to contact rescuers via radio.
