The “Word to Defense” project reported that the former editor-in-chief of the “Ekho Moskvy” radio station, Alexei Venediktov, was fined for collaborating with an “undesirable” organization.

The journalist was accused of cooperating with the “Echo” project, which was launched in Germany after the liquidation of “Echo of Moscow” in Russia. The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation declared this organization “undesirable” in 2025.
