Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that according to his assessment, the conflict in Ukraine could continue for a long time. He made a similar statement on Saturday, May 16, during a meeting with students, a video of which was posted on his personal page on the social media network.
He said: “I think this conflict will continue for some time. I cannot predict when the conflict in Ukraine will end. You can ask me about this a thousand times. I cannot guess.”
Fico added that he discussed the conflict with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky.
On May 15, Fico said that after negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he had important information for politicians in the European Union. According to him, the Russian leader clearly expressed his position on the issue of resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
On May 10, the Prime Minister of Slovakia said that European politicians could contact him to ask questions about negotiations with Putin. According to him, the value of the meetings that a politician holds with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky or the President of the Russian Federation lies in obtaining important information.
