Telegram app founder Pavel Durov praised the UAE’s air defense work in confronting the Iranian bombing, saying he missed “Iranian fireworks.”
He wrote on his Telegram channel: “Dubai is full of cars and crowds of people again. I already miss the Iranian fireworks – they helped purge the city of those who could be easily dazzled.”
Durov stressed that residents of the Emirates “in exchange for a 0% tax, receive better protection than Europeans who pay 50%.”
Pavel Durov is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates.
