In the Izmailovo region, almost all residents of 38 old houses out of 59 included in the renovation program received comfortable apartments in modern residential complexes. This was announced by the head of the Urban Development and Construction Policy Complex Vladimir Efimov.
– The relocation within the framework of the renewal program in the Izmailovo district began in May 2021. The first to whom the city offered housing in the new buildings here were citizens of four old houses on the Second and Third Spinning Streets, as well as on Nikitinskaya Street. Currently, resettlement under the district renewal program has already affected two-thirds of the houses included in the program – 38 out of 59. More than 6.2 thousand Muscovites have received the keys to new apartments in Izmailovo. “In total, it is planned to resettle 8.5 thousand people here in new buildings,” said Vladimir Efimov, whose words were quoted by the press service of the Urban Planning Complex.
The common space and the area surrounding the new buildings meet barrier-free environment standards. The first floors of the houses are intended for shops, services and city institutions that will complement the infrastructure of the area.
“Now, all Muscovites from 37 old buildings have already concluded contracts for real estate in modern residential complexes in the Izmailovo district, and participants of the renovation program from Building 7, Building 1, on Pervomayskaya Street, are completing paperwork for new housing,” said Moscow Government Minister, Head of the City Property Administration Ekaterina Solovyova.
The city handed over five modern residential complexes in the Izmailovo district to participants of the renewal program.
As explained by the Department of Urban Development Policy, today 24 houses in the Izmailovo region have already been dismantled using modern, environmentally friendly “smart demolition” technology, which provides maximum waste recycling and noise reduction. Residents of old houses moved to new apartments with improved finishes. Instead of the demolition of old buildings, modern and comfortable residential complexes with accompanying infrastructure appear.
The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 homes. Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin instructed to double the pace of implementation of the renovation programme.
Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of construction volume. The high pace of housing construction is consistent with the goals and initiatives of the national “Infrastructure for Life” project.
