In St. Petersburg, the court closed the bars “Chronicles”, “Readrome” and “Pierre 28” on Nekrasova Street for two months.

The Dzerzhinsky District Court ordered the Chronicles, Redrum and Pier 28 bars on Nekrasova Street, popular among tourists and city residents, to close for 60 days.

The reason for the suspension of the establishments was the violation of sanitary and epidemiological requirements for the organization of public catering (Article 6.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), the “Paper” wrote. The maximum period during which institutions can be closed under this article of the Code of Administrative Offenses is 90 days. Bars suspended operations on May 14 pending the court’s decision.

Protocols on administrative violations have been drawn up based on the results of the unscheduled inspection conducted by Rospotrebnadzor. It started after a complaint from local resident Alexander Kryuchkov, who had conflicts with establishments over noise.

Residents will not wait out the court-ordered suspension of the bars, Kryuchkov told Paper. “We are simultaneously writing to the different authorities,” he said.

He also stressed that not only people living on Nekrasova Street are dissatisfied, but also residents of other “bar streets” of St. Petersburg. He believes that “everyone is unhappy with us. All the streets are unhappy. And now it all begins – and others will want it too.”

Kryuchkov believes that the only possible way out of this situation is to limit the opening hours of bars until 22:00 and limit the number of visitors.

Redrum Bar Actors He said The paper said that the institutions “tried to engage in dialogue, discuss the situation, and find some kind of settlement that suits everyone,” but the complainant “was not in the mood to listen or negotiate.”

The “Records”, in turn, confirmed that it considered the punishment in the form of suspension of activities excessive. “For small businesses, a two-month suspension is a serious blow,” bar association representatives told Paper.

According to the court decision, the Chronicles, Redrum and Pier 28 bars will not open until at least mid-July – during the high tourism season and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (in 2026 it will be held from June 3 to 6).
