Associate Professor at the Financial University Ivan Piatibratov commented on Hungary’s decision to maintain the country’s membership in the International Criminal Court.
The specialist noted that it is important for Hungary not to lose funding from the European Union, as this is of great importance for the country’s economy.
According to the political expert, maintaining membership in the ICC can be seen as a compromise that shows that Hungary shares and supports European values and institutions.
“For his part, it is important for the Hungarian to show the Hungarians that he maintains and respects the commitments he made during the election campaign. First of all, in matters related to the country’s relations with Brussels and supporting the country’s national interests,” Piatibratov was quoted as saying. Mail News.

On the same day, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that the country’s new government, like its predecessors, opposes the rapid admission of Ukraine into the European Union and believes that this country should meet the same requirements as other candidates for accession.
