“Mosbilet” invites you to excursions as part of the “District Guide” series.

The Moscow Museum of the Metropolitan Ministry of Culture is opening a new excursion course “Guide to the District” which will run from June 6 to August 29. The program will be a continuation of the concept of the “Moscow Without Suburbs” project and will offer a look at the city through the history of the streets, architecture and everyday life in different areas – from the festive center to hidden quiet corners.

Each trip provides an opportunity to see the region as a separate urban world with its own rhythm, character and memory. All participants will receive a Moscow expert passport – it will become not only a guide during the program, but also an unforgettable souvenir that preserves the impressions of walking around the capital.

On a tour on June 6 around the Gagarinsky district, you will be able to take a fresh look at the built-up neighborhoods near scientific institutes and the atmosphere of the university environment. Here Soviet modernity coexists with the city’s academic history. Participants will discuss the urban planning experiences of the middle of the last century and how the image of the future city was shaped.

On June 13, guests will go to one of the most atmospheric corners of Old Moscow – a maze of alleys, ancient rooms, monastery walls and secret courtyards. The route will pass through Khitrovka and Ivanovskaya Gorka. The historical environment here has hardly changed, and the multi-layered nature of the past is felt at every step.

In July and August, participants will enjoy walks around Sokolniki, Taganka, Dangarovka, Novy Cheryomushki, Basmany, Krylatskoye, Novogiriev, Strojin and North Chertanovo. The program is available with individual tickets and with a subscription, the official said Website Mayor of Moscow. You can issue it through the service “Mospilit”.

At the same time, the exhibition “Ancient City Architecture. People and Technology” was held. The exhibition develops the tradition of studying national building art established by the founder of the museum, Pyotr Baranovsky.
