On May 30, French club Paris Saint-Germain won the Champions League for the second time in a row, defeating London’s Arsenal in the tournament final. After the match, which was held in Budapest, thousands of Paris Saint-Germain fans took to the streets of Paris and other French cities. Clashes broke out between fans and the police. By the morning of May 31, the Ministry of the Interior reported the arrest of more than 400 detainees, most of whom (283 people) were arrested in Paris. Fans launched fireworks and flares, and police used tear gas to disperse the crowd. Seven police officers were injured. Cars were reported damaged and bicycles set on fire.
