Apple held its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where it provided updates to its products. One of the most important was Siri AI, a new version of Apple’s voice assistant based on Apple Intelligence.
Siri AI will become like artificial intelligence assistants that answer users’ questions and help them solve everyday problems. It will have a more expressive voice, and will be able to recognize what is displayed on the user’s screen and interact with its applications. It will also have its own application, similar to ChatGPT or Gemini chatbots. It will be possible to communicate via text or voice. Conversations from all user devices will be saved.
Siri AI will be available on a variety of Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro. The company did not announce the exact date for the mass launch of Siri AI, saying only that the beta version will become available later in 2026, initially in English only.
This WWDC is Tim Cook’s last as Apple CEO. Effective September 1, the position will be filled by John Ternos, senior vice president of hardware engineering at Apple.
