A conference of a new political party was held in Berlin, which, as Ilya Yashin announced, would represent the interests of Russian dissidents. Congress delegates approved the name of the party – “Russian Peace Forces”, and also elected Ilya Yashin as its president.
Yashin’s deputies were Elena Kutinochkina, Konstantin Kosov, and Olga Prokopyeva. Kotenochkina was a member with Yashin of the Moscow Krasnoselsky District House of Deputies. In 2024, she was sentenced in absentia to 7.5 years in prison in the case of “falsifying” the army.

Ilya Yashin announced plans to create a party in March. The politician did not specify who the members of the organizing committee were, saying only that they were “people with extensive political experience and enthusiastic young people.”
