Ubisoft co-founder Claude Guillemot died in a plane crash in France. This is what was published by Le Figaro newspaper.

The Cessna 421 light plane, owned by 69-year-old Guillemot, crashed near the town of La Baule-Escoblac in western France. According to preliminary data, the businessman himself flew the plane. In addition to him, there was another person on board, who also died.

The causes of the plane crash are still unclear.

Ubisoft is one of the largest video game developers in the world. The company has created such famous franchises as Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Prince of Persia.

Claude Guillemot founded Ubisoft with his four brothers in 1986. Now the family still controls the company, and its permanent CEO is Yves Guillemot, Claude’s younger brother.
