Specialists have begun construction of the first and second floors of the new complex of the Research Institute of Emergency Medicine named after NV Sklifosovsky. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on Saturday, June 20.
“It will become one of the most modern medical facilities in Russia and will give new impetus to the development of healthcare in the capital, expanding the capabilities of science and practical medicine. We are building the complex using advanced technologies. Thanks to this, many diverse works are being carried out in parallel, and the construction time is reduced. At the same time, the existing hospital continues to accept patients, noted the head of the city.
Sobyanin explained that specialists use equipment in construction to monitor noise levels and dust levels in the air, in addition to a system to monitor and manage access to the site. In addition, a remote-controlled tower crane has been installed on site, increasing work productivity and safety.

The building will consist of five interconnected towers, six to ten stories high. There will be units of different profiles there. At the same time, all buildings will be unified by a central atrium.
The facade of the building will consist of stained glass structures shaped like “honeycombs” and rhombuses. In this regard, the building will change its shade at different times of the day. Another architectural feature of the complex is the installation in the shape of a pulsating heart which can be clearly seen from the Garden Ring.
The work is scheduled to be completed in 2028.
