Television presenter Jeremy Clarkson announced that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, which he had previously spoken about.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Clarkson said a test conducted two months ago showed no signs of the disease.
“It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have gotten to the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and there were serious problems,” Clarkson said.
According to him, he is now being examined regularly and hopes to be “among the 60% to whom the disease does not return.”
Clarkson, 66, spoke about his diagnosis in an episode of the Clarkson Farm program that aired in mid-June 2026 (the program itself was filmed earlier, in 2024-2025). The TV presenter described his form of cancer as “aggressive” and said he had removed part of his prostate as part of his treatment.
Until 2015, Jeremy Clarkson was one of the main hosts of the popular car show Top Gear, which has been on the air since 1977. Clarkson has co-hosted the show with Richard Hammond and James May since 2002. After a dispute with the producer, Clarkson was fired. Hammond and May followed suit and began hosting a new show called The Grand Tour.
