Tsargrad founder and “Orthodox oligarch” Konstantin Malofeev said he had suspended his Max messenger channel and criticized the Telegram block.
In Malofeev’s article about Tsargrad titled “Let’s get Telegram up and running,” he wrote that the messenger had been shut down “for security,” but “something went wrong.”
According to Malofeev, after the telegram was blocked, “there was no less sabotage and terrorism,” and security was never guaranteed. “Complete safety and security have arrived. And where was the huge saving effect of disabling Telegram? How many drones turned around in horror when they learned that the Russians had trouble uploading messages?” – writes Malofeev.
At the same time, he criticized Max messenger, which, according to him, made it impossible to receive push notifications during air raids – despite being included in the “white list”. According to Malofeev, Max is inferior to Telegram in almost all respects.
There is no full suspension function. There are no stable stories for the channel’s authors. There is no independent streaming function. There are no transparent statistics. There are no clear analytics and monetization. There are regular crashes, crashes, freezes, unstable notifications, and difficulties sending and receiving messages. There are somewhat justified doubts about spy jobs. There are problems in the app stores not only of the American company Apple, but also in the Chinese Huawei AppGallery.
At the end of the article, Malofeev wrote: “I’m freezing my channel in Max. I’m not deleting it – hope for the best dies last. But in these conditions, I consider it impossible to support this platform.”
At the same time, Malofeev, via telegram, called for “waging war” — to make sure Starlink stops working for the Ukrainians and to hit “infrastructure with tactical nuclear weapons.” “They want to make Crimea an island – and let Kiev become an island without communications and electricity,” he wrote.

Modesty aside, let’s just say it’s comfortable and cool. If you’re reading us from Russia, you’ll especially like the built-in block bypass and safe mode (so no one will understand that you have Meduza open). It is inconvenient to read – watch the show “What Happened” with Vlad Gorin: he discusses the most interesting events and trends with guests every day. If you don’t want to watch, listen to today’s main texts on Medusa Radio. Anyway, here’s the link to download the app – you know what to do!
