The Russian-appointed head of the annexed city of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozaev, said on the morning of June 25 that a “temporary energy supply restriction regime” had been introduced in the city. According to him, “communications will be cut off locally and when necessary.” However, there is no set schedule for the hourly closure yet.
Razvozaev said it was necessary to eliminate the overload on electrical networks outside Sevastopol, “in order to prevent an accident in the entire power system.”
“If possible, try now to reduce the load on the network and not use powerful electrical appliances,” Razvozaev said, addressing the city’s residents.
Electricity supplies in Sevastopol were limited the day after Ukraine attacked the city’s main electrical station with drones. During June 24, there was no light in some areas of Sevastopol. On the night of June 25, Razvozaev announced the restoration of electricity supplies.
