Ukraine said it lost a MiG-29 plane in the Poltava region. Russia claims to have destroyed two such aircraft – and in another region

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that on the night of June 27, it lost a MiG-29 fighter that was conducting a combat mission in the Poltava region.

The Ukrainian pilot exited the plane and was taken to the hospital. The Ukrainian side did not provide further details.

In turn, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported, on June 27, that Russian drones destroyed two MiG-29 fighter planes and ground support equipment for the Ukrainian army at Voznesensk Airport in the Nikolaev region.

The Russian side published a video clip showing a plane burning. Ukraine did not comment on this information.
