In the USA it is customary to tip a large tip for service. It is not included in the bill, but it is assumed that it will have to be paid. For many fans who came to America for the World Cup, this came as a big surprise – after all, such a culture does not exist outside the United States. Cheers to Australia
It’s a bit confusing why this is the case. In Australia there is a bill, you have to pay. This is where people ask – or expect – advice. Sometimes it’s not clear how much to tip? Most Australians think – pay your employees more. It’s up to owners, not customers, to make sure your employees are well paid.

They expect a tip on every drink, and it gets expensive very quickly. We grab a drink and add $5 on top. It’s hard to understand.

The bartenders politely ask: “Did you like everything?” – “Yes, of course”. Then they explain that service is not included. While in Europe it is included in the price immediately.
