Ukrainian drones have been hitting Russian refineries for several months, and with the beginning of summer, due to the ongoing downtime, the cumulative effect is beginning to show. Consumer problems begin in Crimea: coupons for gasoline are offered, but they end immediately. After that, they stopped selling gasoline completely on the peninsula. In other regions, restrictions are imposed: first at private gas stations, then in large state networks, in the European part of Russia – then in Siberia, including oil-producing regions. The government describes the situation as “difficult, but manageable.” Russia orders gasoline from Kazakhstan and then from India. The Kremlin demands that the controlled media remain silent about the crisis. The authorities began to pursue sellers and prevent advertisements for the sale of gasoline in the markets. The government plans to allow the use of environmentally unfriendly Euro-2 gasoline. Putin admits: Ukraine offered to stop attacks on refineries, but he refused – the attack in Donbass is more important, and the gasoline shortage is “not critical.” There are queues at gas stations almost all over the country; People stand there for days. The government does not see this: “There are outages at some gas stations, which are quickly eliminated.” It is not surprising, because officials at gas stations serve without queues.
