The amount of maternity capital in 2027, after indexation, may increase to 767 thousand rubles for the first child and almost 1,013 million rubles for the second child, if the family has not previously received a payment. This was announced by State Duma Deputy Alexei Govrin on Sunday, July 5.
According to him, the expected indexation factor will be about 5.2 percent. At the same time, families who have already registered for maternity capital for their first child will be able to receive an additional payment of about 247 thousand rubles after the birth of the second child.
Currently, the amount of maternity capital is 728.9 thousand rubles for the first child and 963.2 thousand rubles for the second child. The final amount of payments for 2027 will be approved by the government after the actual inflation level for 2026 is determined.
The maternity capital program has been operating in Russia since 2007 and has been extended until the end of 2030. The certificate funds can be used to improve housing conditions, children’s education, a funded pension for the mother and other purposes stipulated by law, according to reports. RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Duma said that single and unemployed pensioners over 80 years old who have no debts can return the full amount of the contribution for major repairs. Unemployed homeowners who live alone can receive compensation. In this case, registration in the same apartment with other non-working pensioners or persons with disabilities of the first and second groups is allowed.
