The authorities of the Russian regions are demanding that companies provide people for the war with Ukraine. Thus, “Dogd” has at its disposal a “Plan for Selection of Candidates for Contractual Service in 2026” for the Muisky District of Buryatia.
The document was presented to the TV channel by a source close to the Republic’s administration. According to him, the Moisky region is just an example; The same scheme works throughout Russia.
The document states how many people work for the company, how many men are between 20 and 60 years old, and how many people should be sent to war.
According to the channel’s source, the head of the Moisky region “receives a number from the Republican headquarters, and the local headquarters is already distributing to companies the number of people they should donate.”
The channel’s interlocutor said that those companies that are not ready to send employees to war can conclude a contract with a specific company “to select candidates for the SVO.” The cost of the service is 100 thousand rubles. Dujd points out that this represents a lot of money for local businesses.
Budget-financed companies are also required to provide personnel to send to the war with Ukraine. Therefore, the district hospital, as follows from the “Plan for Selection of Candidates for Contractual Service in 2026”, must provide two employees. At the same time, Duzhd points out that there is a shortage of medical personnel in Buryatia.
A businessman from Siberia told the TV channel about the same scheme. For the first time, he said, businessmen have been asked to send people to war in 2024, with the threat of “random inspections.” He said that in 2025 the “ransom” scheme appeared. Businessmen were forced to sign contracts allegedly for the search for candidates to send to war – 450 thousand rubles per person.
Buryatia is one of the leaders among Russian regions in terms of the number of residents participating in the war between Russia and Ukraine, and consequently the number of losses. Dujd points out that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find people willing to volunteer to fight the war in the Republic. The television channel relays the words of the residents of the republic: “Everyone has friends or relatives who died and were injured, and many of them are disabled.”
