Swans in the Patriarch’s Ponds gave birth to offspring for the second year in a row

A pair of swans in the Patriarch’s Ponds in the center of the capital hatched chicks for the second year in a row. The birds once again set up a nest on a floating house in the middle of the pond.

Reports indicate that at least four chicks hatched TASS.

On June 17, 2025, a pair of local swans at the Patriarch Ponds also gave birth to offspring. The birds became parents of five hatched babies. In recent years, the female has been laying eggs regularly, but something constantly prevents the emergence of chicks.

On May 30, it became known that a pair of white swans at the Moscow Zoo gave birth to three chicks. A crying baby Capuchin baby was also born on April 9 at the Moscow Zoo. The child was born to an experienced couple – a female Nori and a male Sailor.

Golden monkeys from China may settle on the territory of the Moscow Zoo as early as August. Zoo director Svetlana Akulova said that the institution will become the third in the world outside China where this type of monkey will appear. The cage will be placed near the entrance to the zoo from Krasnaya Presnya.
