The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) said officers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) detained the investigator at a checkpoint in Sumy. NABU reported that the employee was in the city on a business trip to conduct one of the high-profile investigations, but at the entrance he was stopped and actually blocked.
It is noteworthy that the subordinates of the First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Security Service, Alexander Poklad, whom the Ukrainian press calls one of the main security officials in the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, may be behind this operation.
