Arcadia wants to bring transparency to ESG’s carbon claims through partnership with Salesforce • CableFree TV

For many companies, carbon emissions are something of a black box. Energy goes in, products and emissions go out. The first two are easy enough to monitor and understand, but without an expert it is difficult to determine the emission profile.

That’s where Arcadia hopes to get in. The renewable energy company, which just completed a $200 million Series E that closed in May, today announced a partnership with Salesforce to add its Data Connector tool to the AppExchange in the cloud company’s Net Zero Cloud offering.

“Es in ESG reports tend to be estimates,” Arcadia co-founder and CEO Kiran Bhatraju told TechCrunch. Often, such estimates come from building managers filling out surveys, he says. “They tend to lack any specifics about the data.”
