At the future Vatutinki metro station, a third of the work on building a “wall in the ground” has been completed.

At the future Vatutinki station, which is being built as part of the second phase of the Troitskaya metro line, more than 6.8 thousand cubic meters of monolithic reinforced concrete were installed when creating a “wall in the ground”. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning and Construction Policy, Vladimir Efimov.

– At the construction site of the future Vatutinki station on the Troitskaya metro line, more than 6.8 thousand cubic meters of monolithic reinforced concrete have already been laid when creating a “wall in the ground”. The “wall in the ground” method is used to strengthen the pit and protect it from groundwater percolation, which will prepare the site for the installation of major structures. Vladimir Efimov noted that the construction of the station’s pit fence will require about 21 thousand cubic meters of reinforced concrete.

Vatutinki station is located at the intersection of Kaluzhskoye Highway and Slavskogo Street. Exits are designed for residential and public buildings, as well as for public transport stations.

— At the same time, builders are developing the foundation pit. According to the project, more than 290 thousand tons of soil will be removed. “The work on removing soil from the pit has been completed by 16 percent, and more than 47 thousand tons have already been removed from the construction site in strict accordance with current legislation,” said Maxim Gaman, General Director of Mosinzhproekt JSC.

The Troitskaya Line will connect the historical part of the capital and the platforms of the Moscow Central Circle with the Troitsk region. It will pass through the Southern, South-Western, Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative districts. Thanks to the construction of the second phase of the Troitskaya Line, transport accessibility in Troitsk will be improved – residents will be able to get to the city center faster. The southern directions of the Sokolnicheskaya and Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya lines will also be unloaded.

The length of the radius will exceed 43 kilometers, which will make it one of the longest in the metro and the largest outside the Moscow Ring Road. Its opening will have a positive impact on the road network, as the transportation situation will improve in the southwest and south of the capital.

Mosinzhproekt is one of the largest engineering holding companies in Russia and is included in the list of basic organizations of the Russian economy in the field of construction, housing and communal services. Over the years, the company’s specialists have contributed to the construction of more than six thousand kilometers of roads and more than 100 road structures. Since 2011, with the participation of the holding company, 84 metro stations and more than 180 kilometers of lines have been built and reconstructed. In addition, a number of notable civil engineering projects have been created.
