Brazil vs Germany Olympics Soccer Preview

The Olympics experience gets started in a hurry for Brazil and Germany, which face off in a rematch of the 2016 Gold Medal Game. Neymar scored the winning penalty kick against Germany to seal that victory, which was the first gold medal in the sport for Brazil.

Brazil is fresh off winning the Copa America tournament and many of the big names, like Neymar, have not made the trip to Japan. While the South American side is filled with young talent, Dani Alves will provide a veteran presence for the squad. Tournament participation to players who are 23 years of age and younger, with only three over-23 selections permitted on each roster.

“Those that know me, know I have a youthful spirit and as it is my first time I will have the same sort of experience as the young lads. Even though I have enjoyed some big moments in my career, given this is my first time at the Olympics I feel some butterflies in my stomach,” Alves said. “Being here is really a special feeling. I am thankful for the opportunity. I hope I can live up to the expectations of the competition and also of our national team.”

Germany has five medals in the sport, taking home gold in 1976 (as East Germany). The squad’s Olympic preparation was cut short, walking off after allegations of players being racially abused by Honduras.

Ivory Coast and Saudi Arabia make up the rest of the group alongside the two soccer powers.

What Shows Are on Curiosity Stream?

If you’ve got a need to learn something new, there are plenty of great options on Curiosity Stream. Here are just a few highlights available now:

What to Do If Curiosity Stream Is Not Working On Your Roku?

If Curiosity Stream isn’t working on your Roku device, there are a few things you can try.

The most likely culprit for Curiosity Stream not working on Roku devices is a slow internet connection. You need at least a 5Mbps connection to stream in the lowest resolution, and 15Mbps for 4K. But if your device isn’t getting those speeds, there are a couple of things I would try first.

  1. Restart your router and unplug your Roku device.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Plug your Roku device back in.

This will help restart your device’s TCP/IP and internet connection settings so that you have the best chance of getting the best speeds.

If that doesn’t work and you’re still getting slow speeds, it could be due to a crowded network or downloads on other devices. For example, if you’re downloading a game update on STEAM on your PC, any game consoles, or someone else in your home is streaming a movie while you’re trying to watch CuriosityStream, it could cause your Roku to not have the required speed juice it needs to work properly. To most easily rectify the problem, turn off the internet connection on those devices and see if this helps CuriosityStream work again.

Something else you can try if your device is still not working after fixing your internet connection is to ensure you have the latest Roku software on your device. If you don’t, you need to update your device to the latest software for best results.

To do so, go Roku Home>scroll to Settings>Select System>Select System Update>Select Check Now. If Roku finds any new software available or channel updates available, it will download them and install them automatically.

  • Fire TV Stick 4K

Internet Speed Requirements for 4K

If you’re planning to stream Curiosity Stream in glorious 4K resolution, you’re going to need an internet connection of at least 25 Mbps (megabits per second). If you’re not sure exactly what internet speed you currently have, head on over to speedtest.net, run the test, and take a look at the first number that pops out (your download speed). If that number reads 25 Mbps or above, you’re good to go for 4K streaming. If it’s slightly lower, you should try to stream Curiosity Stream in 4K to see if it works.
