Broncos post spoof video ‘drafting’ Russell Wilson with 9th overall pick

Denver Broncos used the ninth overall pick in the NFL Draft on Thursday evening to select quarterback Russell Wilson.

Well, not really.

The Broncos actually numbered Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks last month in exchange for a fourth-round pick. 9 (three more players and four other picks) traded.

So when it came time for Thursday night’s ninth overall exam, Denver shared a spoof video of Wilson receiving a “call” from General Manager George Patton in a fake draft video.

The Broncos’ social media team released a photoshopped image of Wilson with NFL Commissioner Roger Gut in the evening.

Denver has released a Wilson hype video that will undoubtedly lift Broncos fans for the 2022 season.

Seattle used the actual ninth overall pick to select Charles Cross to deal with the Mississippi State offensive.

Denver General Manager George Patton joked during his pre-draft press conference last week that the Broncos would see Wilson’s highlights on Day 1 of the draft.
