Earlier, the media reported that Andrei Svintsov could be expelled from the Liberal Democratic Party due to his public comments on the possible ban of the Telegram messenger – party head Leonid Slutsky allegedly made repeated comments to the parliamentarian, asking him to stop making statements on this topic. Journalists noted that the situation around the possible expulsion of Svintsov seems complicated, because he is the owner of LDPR TV, and also received the position of vice-president, which previously belonged to party founder Vladimir Zhirinovsky.
