Bypass blocks (even without a VPN)
Jellyfish can bypass the ban on its own. To do this, just enable the mode of the same name in “Settings”, and – voila – you can read news and our other materials without any restrictions. However, we strongly advise you to install a VPN to use social networks and not depend on the mood of the authorities.
He cares about your safety
To make it easier to read Meduza from Russia, the application has a “safe mode” – it completely erases our corporate identity. If someone looks at your screen, they won’t understand what you have open. This is what it looks like:

Currently working
No network? No problem. The app will stay open and display all the news, articles, books, and podcasts downloaded during the last time you were online. This function is useful not only during lockdowns, but also in case of a long flight. In the “Bookmarks” section, you can save texts that you want to read later and return to them at the appropriate time. It turns out that in any situation you will have something to do.
It could be your radio
If reading “Medusa” right now is uncomfortable, you can listen to it! Go to the “Podcasts” section and choose the audio you like: “What Happened”, “Medusa Radio”, “First Quarter” at your service. And of course, all episodes can be downloaded and listened to offline.
Helps you relax and unwind
Firstly, the app has a complete free library. It already contains more than 25 books – these include successful books from the Meduza publishing house and books from other independent publishers (Babel Books Berlin, Freedom Letters, BAbook, Fresh Verlag). For example, Zhenya Berkovich’s prison fairy tale “Pets”, Kira Yarmysh’s novel “It’s Not Far From Here” about two friends escaping through Russia from bandits and the FSB, and a guide to the language of Russian propaganda “We Can Repeat” (this book can only be read in the appendix and nowhere else).
Secondly, we made sure that reading books was comfortable – we made our own e-reader (with convenient navigation, bookmarks and text display settings). Books can also be read offline.
Third, we have added 12 legendary Medusa toys to the app. From “Field of Miracles” to throwing pancakes at Dudia’s head (yes, you read that right) – everything you need to take a break from work and annoying news.
It can be dark or light – it’s up to you!
In the Jellyfish app, you can choose whether the interface will be dark or light. This can be modified in settings. You can also turn on automatic sync (bright light during the day, dark light at night) so your eyes are less strained.
