Ex-Minister of Education Tabachnik was informed of suspicion of treason: he coordinated the work of the invaders in the territories occupied by the Russian Federation

Relevant document from the SBU investigator published website of the Public Prosecution Service.

It states that by early May at the latest, Tabachnik agreed to cooperate with and assist the Russian Federal Security Service in carrying out explosive activities against Ukraine.

In particular, as noted, the ex-minister coordinated the work of the “heads of administration” of the areas of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions temporarily occupied by the Russian troops, Volodymyr Saldo and Yevgeny Balitsky, in the field of healthcare, education and preparation for pseudo-referendums. He also contacted Russian Deputy Health Minister Andrei Plutinitsky on May 1, 2022 to help the occupiers organize health care processes in the occupied territories.

According to the SBU, Tabachnik acted on behalf of the highest Russian authorities, including the FSB, and honored agreements with representatives of the aggressor country.

In addition, the investigators found out that on June 18, the ex-minister of education corresponded with Saldo to organize his meeting with the “emergency minister” of the temporarily occupied Crimea, with the aim of solving the problems of creating a ” Emergency Service”, signing an “agreement” on cooperation with the so-called “Department of Internal Affairs of the Kherson Region” and the creation of the “112” service.

In July, Dmitry Tabachnik asked the “heads” of the occupation “administrations” of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions of Saldo and Balitsky for information about the number of industrial, medical and educational facilities and people to organize their armed “guards”. Then the traitor prepared a draft of the corresponding “document” for the deputy head of the Russian government, Marat Khusnullin. It also pointed out the need for protection of “constituencies” in the said regions.

However, according to the investigation, as early as August 16, Tabachnik reported to the FSB representative about the incompetence of the so-called “head” of the conquered part of the Zaporozhye region, Balitsky, in establishing a network of pharmacies in the territories conquered by the aggressor, drug pricing, and storage of vaccines and insulins.

The Prosecutor General’s Office has also issued a summons to the ex-Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine calling for a written report on suspicion of treason.

As reported in July 2015 SBU put Dmytro Tabachnik on the wanted list. He was charged with Article 191 Part 5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (misappropriation of state property on a particularly large scale). The “Wanted” section of the website of the Ministry of Interior of Ukraine indicated that Tabachnik had been identified as a person hiding from the prosecutor’s office and that he disappeared on June 8, 2015.

On February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation” in occupied Donbas. Russia launched missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine and launched a direct large-scale four-way invasion. The armed forces of Ukraine repel the enemy, the blitzkrieg plan – to capture Kiev in two or three days – failed, the Russian army retreated from the capital. The Russian military is committing thousands of war crimes and crimes against humanity across Ukraine.
